The redesigned Panther Soccer Club website is the result of the collaborative efforts of the Panther Soccer Club Board of Directors, coaches, PSC website committee, and parents all dedicated to the idea of presenting informative and relative club information to site visitors on a timely basis.
In the summer of 2007, the Panther Soccer Club distributed surveys to parents, coaches, and board members seeking input into which features would be desirable to include in an updated website. The feedback received loud and clear was that the site needed relevant information that was maintained regularly. This information included Panther Soccer Club news items, registration and other forms, a current calendar of events, team information with schedules, and of course lots of photographs.
The Panther Soccer Club formed a website committee made up of individuals knowledgeable in technology and web development to begin the work of redesigning the Panther Soccer Club website. The goal of the committee was to ensure that the needs of website users would be met and that the resulting website would not only be visually appealing, but that the website would also provide relevant information to users quickly and easily. Also of importance was the need to update and maintain club information as easily as possible with minimal training involved. With this in mind, a major feature of the Panther Soccer Club website is that it is built on the Joomla! Content Management System framework.
