Match Report: 4/20/08 vs. Oakbrook Hawks

The U10 Oswego Prowlers started off the spring season with some great play coming out ahead against the Oak Brook Hawks winning 8-1.  The Prowlers were able to start the scoring early when Chase Bruns scored the first of his three goals on the day with a shot from the right side.  Timmy Mackey then put his first of two goals past a diving goalie to put the Prowlers up 2-0 early in this game.  The Hawks came storming back and put one in the back of the net to make the game 2-1.  Then Mitch Kearby put one in the back of the net to put the Prowlers up for good.  Kearby added another goal in the second half and Jackson Simon netted his first goal of the year to help the Prowlers in this total team effort.  Mitch Blocker (2 assists) and Jacob Hoopes (2 assists) each helped control the ball in the midfield for the Prowlers and started numerous attacks.  Kurtis Klingbeil, Hunter Short, Craig Schlegel and Cody Gotchie all played some stellar defense in limiting the Hawks attacks and helping to put continued pressure on the opposing teams.  Owen Flynn also helped start numerous offensive attacks with some great touch passing.  Klingbeil, Schlegel and Gotchie played great in goal for the Prowlers.
