In the first week of the Fall season, the Orange Crush picked up two wins against the TCSA Tornado and the FV Strikers. Taylor Peck, Alexis Henz, and Rylynn McCaw contributed for the 3-0 victory in St Charles against TCSA. The Crush were clearly the stronger team on the field and they did a fine job defensively by shutting down the opposition. Most of the game was played in Tornado territory and the keeper was active all game.
On Sunday the Strikers came to town. The scoring came from a different line of players including Brianna Welch, Brittni Ice, Abby Fioresi, and Mc Caw. Strong defense led by Emily Brandt, Madison Lockard, Carissa Brown, Camryn Beyers, and Henz provided protection for keepers Megan Rasmussen and Rachel Mittlestaedt. The keepers have been solid throughout the start of the season. Organizing the offensive attack were Cori Welch and Kacie Moran who alternated at center mid, distributing the ball to the wings and setting up the crosses. Finally Jessica Sendef turned in a solid effort at forward, keeping constant pressure on the keepers and defensive wings. The Crush finished their game against the Strikers 4-1.
