On Sunday, the Orange Crush closed out their last home game with a narrow victory over the visiting Fire Jr's. The game began in a physical fashion, with each team vying for the dominant position on the field. The Crush exhibited a great combination of long and short passing. The front line did a great job of setting up crosses, allowing multiple players to take shots on goal. The defense once again was the work horse of the game. They shortened the field at every opportunity and protected their keeper, and preserving the shutout. Team work and unselfish play by all proved an effective combination. After 50 minutes, the weary Orange Crush walked off the field with a 1-0 win. They maintain their position atop the C-Central division with two road games remaining next weekend.
