The U11 Prowlers soccer team representing the Panther Soccer Club of Oswego had their last game of the season against the Lemont Raiders. The U11 Prowlers were able to come away victorious en route to a 2-1 victory and ended the year with a record of 5-2-3. The Panthers started strong in this game and were led by Sean Raleigh, Kyle Straznickas, Hunter Short and Craig Schlegel who constantly pushed the Lemont team away on the defensive side. In goal for the Prowlers, Kurtis Klingbeil, stopped shot after shot to keep the score 0-0 at halftime.
In the second half after a booming punt by Chase Bruns, Nathan Molina was able to take a shot and put it past the Lemont goalie for a 1-0 Prowler lead. The lead was shortlived as the Lemont team was able to just squeek a shot over Chase Bruns for a 1-1 tie. The Prowlers never gave up and Mitch Blocker, Mitch Kearby, Tim Mackey keep giving the Prowlers ample oppurtunities to score. They finally delivered when with just minutes to go in the game, Jackson Frazer drilled a shot past a diving Lemont goalie to give the Prowlers the cushion they needed for a 2-1 victory.
This was a great TEAM victory for this group and put them into a tie for first place. This was a very successful year for the Prowlers, playing up, winning the Labor Day Bolingbrook Soccer tournament made improvements game after game. They were trained by Tim Balatsoukas.
