Over Labor Day weekend, the Stars participated in the Bolingbrook tournament.  They played 4 games during the tournament, allowing no goals while scoring 19.  Needless to say, the defense was absolutely dominating, only allowing a handful of shots on goal during the tournament.  The new players, Morgan Loncala, Nicole Alvarez, Haley Brewer and Mia Lakstigala played well and mixed in well with the players from last year.  Offensively, the Stars played adequately in the first 2 games which featured better competition.  In the second 2 games, the Stars exhibited outstanding sportsmanship by working on skills rather than scoring.  The tournament allowed the players to work off the rust that was obvious in the first game of the competition. 

This weekend, they will play the opening game of league play against Galaxy Blue.  Hopefully, the Stars will continue their winning ways.
