Panther Soccer Club is fortunate to be one of a few clubs in the state of Illinois to be provided with one of the worlds best training methods - Coerver Coaching.
Coerver Coaching is in it 26th year as 'the worlds number one teaching skills method', and Panther Soccer Clubs very own Director of Coaching Michael Cockroft is also the Director of Coaching for Coerver Illinois.
'A lot of the practices and additional foot skills sessions are based around the coerver method. We have over 500 players a year that come to our camps, academies and Center of Excellence programs, and to have this high level of training at our club is a huge benefit to all of our players', said Michael Cockroft
Coerver Coaching was originated by Weil Coerver, a dutch master, and a legend to the game of Soccer. In the 80's Charlie Cook, a former Chelsea and Scotland international, along with Alf Galustian, also a former professional player introduced coerver to the world, and now currently serves in over 50 different countries.
Michael goes on to say, 'What parents need to realize is that these training methods that we introduce, are being used in professional clubs world wide, even in the English Premiership. Clubs in the Chicagoland area are sending their players to our winter and summer programs as additional training. Yet Panther Soccer Club not only has the up to date curriculums but also regular staff training that comes directly from professional soccer clubs and training grounds'.
The link, which comes from a very popular British soccer magazine shows Coerver Director Alf Galustian (who has personally trained our very own Michael Cockroft in the Coerver Method) going through some of the latest technicall practices that you may see you son or daughter working on during the season.
