U13 Girls Take Home IYSA President's Cup |

 This past weekend the U13 Girls Orange traveled to Rockford, IL to compete in the IYSA President's Cup final. On Saturday in the semi-final the girls defeated GLSA Black by a score of 2-1 with a dramatic last minute goal to earn a berth is Sunday's final. Sunday the girls met GLSA Premier Orange in the championship. Down 0-1 with less than 10 minutes remaining the girls again in dramatic fashion battled back with 2 goals to seal the victory.
The President's Cup is a state wide open competition put on by the Illinois Youth Soccer Association. 2012 is the first year the competition was open to U13 girls. With the championship the team now has the opportunity to represent the state of Illinois at the President's Cup Regional Tournament in Overland Park, KS in June.
