The U11 Prowlers of the Panther Soccer Club in Oswego participated with over 115 other teams in the Bolingbrook Labor Day Soccer Festival.  The Prowlers were looking to defend the Championship that they earned last year. 

The first game saw the Prowlers open up against the Woodridge Storm.  The Prowlers came out hungry with Gabe Lopez getting two quick goals on some beautiful crosses from Chris Grober to put the Prowlers up 2-0.  The Woodridge team came back to put one on the board to make the score 2-1.  The Prowlers then turned it up a notch and netted three more goals by Mitch Kearby, MItch Blocker and Michael Panek to make the final of the first game 5-1.  The second game saw the Prowlers play Bolingbrook and dominate the whole game.  Scoring by Kearby, Panek (2 goals), Jakob Slavin, Adrian Veseli, Jackson Frazer, Timmy Mackey and Chase Bruns saw the Prowlers win 8-0 to go 2-0 on the day. 

The next day the Prowlers took on the Euro Premier team and did not dissapoint in a 2-0 win.  Both Blocker and Lopez scored for the Prowlers.  Hunter Short continued his dominance on the defensive end playing a fantastic game in the backfield allowing minimal attacks and Nathan Molina and Tyler DeBoer continued to demonstrate excellent passing and team work in a hard fought 2-0 win.

The Championship game saw the Prowlers take on Ajax in a great game by both teams. The support by additional Panther teams at this game was AWESOME with a lot of Orange and Blue in the crowd. At halftime the score was still 0-0.  With 15 minutes in the game Michael Panek volleyed the ball over the defenders head to Chris Grober who again made a beaufiful cross to Blocker who volleyed the ball past the goal keeper to give the Prowlers their first goal and a lead of 1-0.  Mitch Kearby then added on to that lead minutes later with a brilliant one on one move and drill one past the keeper to give the Prowlers some breathing room and a Championship with a 2-0 victory.  Chase Bruns played an excellent 4 games in goal only allowing a single goal and making numerous saves to keep the Prowlers moving. A great job in goal by Bruns!! 

This Championship was truly a team effort by the Prowlers who started the season 4-0.  The team consists of Mitch Blocker, Chase Bruns, Tyler DeBoer, Chris Grober, Gabe Lopez, Mitch Kearby, Jakob Slavin, Jackson Frazer, Adrian Veseli, Michael Panek, Timmy Mackey, Hunter Short, Nathan Molina.
