Domination, Domination, Domination

The Prowlers ended their U11 season much the same way it started--by dominating their opponents.  This time it was the Three Rivers Soccer Club that felt the wrath of the Prowlers.  The Prowlers started off strong by scoring a goal late in the first half by Chris Grober.  The midfield play of Tim Mackey and Tyler DeBoer held strong the first half and the defensive play of Hunter Short, Jackson Frazer and Michael Panek played stellar yet again.  Late in the first half the Prowlers kept pressuring the 3 Rivers goalie with some beautiful passing by Jakob Slavin and Nathan Molina. Mitch Kearby kept up the attack for the Prowlers as well.  In the second half it was more Prowlers.  Mitch Blocker netted his first goal of the game to make the score 2-0 Prowlers by ourtunning the last defender and depositing the ball in the corner.  Later in the second half Molina, Kearby and Slavin again made some stunning passes but the 3 Rivers goalie kept making some great saves.  Gabe Lopez got a goal as well in the second half on some great hustle play and a hard shot to the corner.  Chase Bruns played yet another stellar game in goal for the Prowlers.  The final score was 3-2 Prowlers.  The Prowlers finish the 2009-2010 year with a 6-2 mark in the Gold Division.  The Prowlers were also able to add quite a bit of hardware as they also won the 2009 Bolingbrook Labor Day Soccer Festival, they also won the Championship in the 2010 Just For Kicks Indoor Soccer and lastly they won the 2010 Oswego Soccer Classic.  They Prowlers played hard and as a TEAM all year.  The team consists of Mitch Blocker, Mitch Kearby, Jakob Slavin, Gabe Lopez, Chris Grober, Michael Panek, Hunter Short, Jackson Frazer, Adrian Veseli, Chase Bruns, Tyler DeBoer, Nathan Molina and Tim Mackey. GREAT JOB BY THE PROWLERS and a big thank you to the parents!!
