The U11 Prowlers had a home game on Sunday October 4 and came away victorious. The Prowlers started off strong when Gabe Lopez scored on some great hustle to put the Prowlers up 1-0. Next Jakob Slavin netted his first goal of the game to give the Prowlers a 2-0 lead. The Prowlers kept the momentum going in the first half with relentless pressure by the midfield of Mitch Blocker, Mitch Kearby, Nathan Molina, Chris Grober, Tyler DeBoer and Tim Mackey. Grober was able to score also in the first half to put the Prowlers up 3-1.
After halftime, the Prowlers came out on a mission. They scored 14 seconds into the half on a goal by Kearby. Then a barrage of goals by the Prowlers started. Hunter Short scored on a penalty kick, DeBoer scored twice, Kearby scored again, Mackey scored a goal to make the final 9-1 Prowlers. The Prowlers continue to move the ball around the field and play some great team soccer. They are relentless on the offensive end and wear down the opponents with shots and aggressive play. The defense of Adrian Veseli, Chase Bruns, Michael Panek and Jackson Frazer gave up limited opportunities for the opposing NSA team. The goalies of Bruns, Veseli and Blocker kept the NSA at bay and the passing of Kearby, Lopez, Grober, Slavin, DeBoer. Frazer, Mackey, Molina, Short and Panek was great. This gives the Prowlers a mark of 8-1 on the year.
