The U11 Prowlers had another exciting game on Wednesday night against a tough Ajax team from Naperville.  The Prowlers opened up the game with numerous chances.  First, Mitch Kearby hit the crossbar then Gabe Lopez just missed a shot wide and Mitch Blocker just missed a shot trying to go around the goalie.  The defense of Jackson Frazer, Hunter Short, Adrian Veseli and Michael Panek played great.  They held together and only allowed 5 shots in the first half.  The Prowlers were finally able to get the first goal of the game when Blocker made a cross that Tim Mackey volleyed perfectly into the goal for a 1-0 Prowler lead.  Minutes later Ajax tied the game on a nice pass and one touch shot.  Tyler DeBoer, Jakob Slavin and Nathan Molina continued the pressure throughout the first half to help start many offensive attacks for the Prowlers.  At the end of the first half the Ajax team went ahead 2-1 on a penalty shot. 

The second half the Prowlers took control in the first 8 minutes.  First, it was Lopez who hustled after a shot that the goalie bobbled and was able to slip it in the goal for a 2-2 tie.  Then Chris Grober volleyed home the 3^rd goal of the game for the Prowlers.  Later that half, Chase Bruns had a laser shot roll just past the goal and Lopez had a header just miss as well.  The defense of Frazer, Short and Panek held tough the second half to preserve the victory for the Prowlers in another hard fought game between two very equal teams.  The win for the Prowlers gives them a 5-2 mark on the year in the Gold division with only one game left.
