The U11 Prowlers played a very tough home game this weekend against the Challengers from Naperville. The Prowlers started off strong with a quick goal by Gabe Lopez. The Prowlers were able to stay strong through most of the half with Tim Mackey, Jackson Frazer, Mitch Kearby, Chris Grober, Micheal Panek, Hunter Short, Tyler DeBoer and Adrian Veseli playing a strong defense and midfield for the Prowlers. Nathan Molina applied continuous pressure up front to help the Prowlers in this seesaw battle. The Challengers were able to go up 2-1 midway through the second half but then Kearby knifed through on a breakaway to tie up the score. The Challengers came right back and put one in the net to make the score 3-2. With the seconds ticking off, Chase Bruns hustled after a ball and was able to put a beautiful shot on goal that tied the score for the Prowlers in a hard fought 3-3 battle. This game gave the Prowlers a mark of 6-2-1 for the year. The Prowlers play one more game at home. It is Saturday October 31 at 10 at PrarieFest Park. Please wear a costume.
